interior cup holder lights
I've seen many posts about switching the bulbs for the interior dome/trunk lights and even mods to add lights to the red reflectors on the doors. However, I have yet to see any posts on changing the bulbs for the cup holder in the center console and the cup holders on each door. I have an 06, so i'm not sure if they have these cup holder lights on other models. Anybody has experience changing the bulbs for these?
In my opinion, you see these cup holder lights more often because they are always on while driving at night. Whereas you only see the dome light when you open the door or the trunk lights when you open the trunk. It'll be nice to change those ugly yellow lights to a bright white.
Any suggestions/experiences?

Look for a LED replacement in the color you want. The LED bulbs provide a cleaner looking light. +1 on a pic.
Check out http://www.autolumination.com for the appropriate replacement

They are not bulbs they are leds which I am currently replacing and I will try to have some pics up later of all of this, but there is no way to replace just the led itself. This is because it is housed in some rubber that I couldn't get off lol. Like I said pics later even if they are just from my phone.
updated the first post with pics of what i'm referring to, still not sure how i can get to the actual bulb/led on the inside and what bulb/led to purchase to replace them with. Thanks for the help in advance!
I was gonna put some picks up but I am waiting on a camera i have cell phone pics so yeah but these are not replaceable without custom work. Its easy but custom.
The cupholder is actually 2 pieces so its not to difficult to get out if you have the door panel off

told you the pics were bad but the iphone can only do so much

Personally, I want those as subdued and dim as possible. I want them to be just enough light to create a contrast if I am looking down on purpose, but not so bright that I actually notice them out of the corner of my eye while I am driving. I think the stock orange is perfect for that.
They are designed to be subtle.
But I do appreciate the effort to tear into the car and see what they look like and how they function.

Yep. They didn't come out with those until 06, same thing with the ignition key light.
eod nhoj got some 8mm blue LEDs that have the resistor already attached. Clip the old ones off and splice in the new ones, a little glue gun to hold them in place and you are done.
I helped him with the center console one and will be adding the info to my full LED conversion procedure.

Did you do the light changing by yourself? Cause I am and got stuck on the light number.
For the ignition is the same led number?
nice job! Thanks!
