Are you happy with the Interior?
LOL, if you want a comfortable interior then get a BMW or Lexus. The Z interior is probably one of the most uncomfortable and cheap interiors around. It's full of rattles and basically just wears out very quickly.
My biggest complaint is the door panels.
Thought they were ugly when I went to the dealership in 2002, still ugly now that I own one. Their just too boring and the thousands of micro nicks on that texture are unpleasant to look at
Oh and I'm ready to change the amber lighting.

I do however have touring and I feel a lot of ppl that talk trash about Z having sh#tty interior or are complaining about their own Z's interior are those that have Base / Enthusiast and/or have pre 07-08 models. If you want to see sh#tty interior, go ride in Honda. Used to have one, and will never again. They use absolute crap for parts and pretty much only just guarantee your car won't fail in terms of physically getting you from A to B. Granted, the car's engine generally never has issues, but the rattles / panel creaking really is annoying (for a 2005 car).
I also went and test drove a BMW 135i a month or so back. Their interior did not feel like it was worth 25k more than my Z (or $15k more new vs new). Flimsy panels and creaks when you push down on them just like a Honda. I will say their plastic looks higher quality (which is what I would expect considering it's got a $47k price tag) than Hondas and Nissans though. But push down on it and you'll hear creaking just like any other cars.
My Z's wasn't rock solid either, but hey it's a Nissan. I also have a GS350 and to me, I feel my Z's interior is maybe 75-80% as solid. The Lexus does have nicer leather seats and more leatherette paneling (making it higher class of course), but for the category and price the Z falls in, I'm extremely satisfied. I mean, if the interior quality matters / disappoints you that much, go get a G instead. Prolly bought the wrong car to begin with.
But overall, I think the 07+ Touring/Grand Touring Interior in the Z is pretty damn good for the price. If your Z's interior is wearing pretty quickly, you should probably take better care of it.
My car's interior is 10/10 in terms of newness.

I used to have an Accord and I've taken panels and parts off to change stuff out before. The clips they use to hold the bumpers on is cheap. Breaks pretty much after you try to take them off. Interior panels creak and rattle like none other. Also pretty easy to tell if previous owner tried to mod the car or what not. Basically the Honda was just cheap inside n out. My Z doesn't really have any rattling issues that I am aware of.
I've sat in american cars before. Their build quality is far worse. My friend has a 2010 Mustang. The plastic they use has a really cheap looking texture/feel.
Also, my cousin has an 03 Z and I had his car for a week couple months back. I will say the older Z's interiors are pretty sh#tty. I'm just glad Nissan revamped the interior for 07+. I've also taken one of my friends to test drive a Z since he was lookin for a new car. Used to drive a S2000, so suggested testing out a Z for more torque. Couldn't find any HR 350Z except for a Base model, so ended up test driving that. The seats were absolute crap. He says my car's interior was night and day difference, but I'm thinking it's cuz of how well kept my car was from the previous owner plus I got Touring + Navi. I'm not saying the Z's interior is as good as a Lexus, but honestly, it is way nicer than the Honda I used to have and many other cars I've sat in. Granted, the Z isn't a luxury car, but the plastic panels they use inside felt way more solid than my Accords. The plastic also has a nicer texture; a bit on the soft side like on the doors and solid feel around the headunit area. My Accord's plastic panels and pieces used in the car was just hard plastic with that typical plastic texture / feel. Gives it that cheapness feel to it.
It was a nice upgrade going from a car that's of a $20k class up to a 30k class.

In that case, i think you have to compare to interior with other sport cars that are about the year and price range, so let say RX8, S2000
I also considered buying an 8 before i got my Z so i tried both
The interior of RX8 is more plastic than the Z and the seats are harder which is less comfortable
not to mention S2000 I personally don't like the interior of S2000 at all
and for the leather seats, most of the 01-03 that i tried are old and scratches since leather seats are known as hard to take good care of
so without comparing the outlook and engine, i'd dfly take the Z

JedixSole is doing it, bringin' them old threads back to life.
As for the interior. I like it. Other than the cheap passenger cupholder that is. Love the electronic gauges, much easier to track my mph then stare at the dial.
Leather seats are comfy, even though my are a little worn out after 50k miles
Overall, I can't complain.

At least the interior is something that can be fixed fairly easily, it's the only real complaint I have about my Z.
