What is standard procedure for removing a spoiler that has four holes right in the middle of the trunk hatch?
Will i have to get the holes filled and painted over ( i assume so)? How expensive is that kind of job usually. I have a pretty ugly dealer installed spoiler on my car and was waiting to get some money and replace this spoiler with a Nismo V2, but I am tired of waiting to accumulate the cash as I have other things that require my money right now. Below is a picture of the spoiler.

Just remove the interior hatch plastic and get to the nuts that hold the spoiler studs/bolts in.
From there if it doesnt come free by hand, use a rubber mallet and bang on the studs poking down from the inside of the hatch.
I don't know what spoiler you have but if it also has double side tape aiding the attachment to the exterior hatch then get some dental floss and have a buddy spray with a water bottle as you run the dental floss back and forth under the spoiler like a mini saw - cutting away at the double sided tape......make sure you don't heat up the floss or anything, take your time...
Prior to having any body work done, i would purchase your next spoiler and be sure that it will or will not cover up some of the existing holes.......you might not need work done at all..........depending on the "footprint" of your next spoiler..

lol dang, ya now that you added the pic...........i dont blame you for wanting to get rid of it..............ya take that sucker off now.........
you can temporarily use these to cap off the holes in your cars hatch.......they are sold at any autoparts stores in multiple sizes......use a rubber washer or some clear silicone under them for water protection, but if you get a good size that actually securely fastens with the ribs then im sure it will keep water out........
plus your car being a darker color, it wont be so horrible till you get your new spoiler......

Do you guys think the silicone will melt off in 110+ degree weather direct sunlight? I dont wanna plug it thinking im ok and then wash my car and find a puddle in my trunk. I wont keep it plugged more than 3-4 months, but i cant stand the sight of that thing anymore
silicone it from the inside......read the manufacture label on the stuff you buy and see what the temp range is..........with metal contact i would add 20 degrees or so to whatever the highs are in your area......
but put the plastic automotive clips in and then puddy from the inside.......heck you can use RTV too.......either way its gonna be removed later, and covered up in the mean time with the interior plastic pieces...
go to a self car wash and spray some water over the hatch.......open and check it out......if leaks are present, then add more puddy around the plastic automotive clips....

I still remember like it was yesterday. I pretty much made a mad scramble to empty my old car and pull out some electronics that I wanted to keep, like my subwoofer. I had not planned on purchasing a car that day.
hard to say........best bet is to go to shop after shop for estimates and take the best price......for the price difference i would get a spoiler and see if i can cover the holes up or at least one of them per side........
that way when you have your spoiler painted to match, you can have them also spray a few of those plastic clip heads.....so that if there is one hole per side still showing you can put in plastic clips that have been painted to match as well...
