Default Changing your HID??

I have just purchased new 6000k HID bulbs, and I want to save the labour cost so I decided to install it myself.

Has anyone here changed their HID yet? or headlight lowbeam? if so, would you please teaching me how to do this? Im concerned that I mgiht have to remove the front bumper.....

thnx.

not sure how it actually goes in, but first thing I do know, do NOT touch the bulb with your fingers, buy a pair of gloves if need be, you want some nice feminine cotton gloves, CLEAN. ONLY touch them with the gloves.

the grease on your fingers will cause them to blow out prematurely.

all Cdn models have HIDs...there are only 3 models, no base model. But ya, I do have HIDS..just changin the bulb, I popped the hood, and it does not look like I can simply reach behind the lights and change them...

thnx for the tip, I do know that already, changed lots of light bulbs before in my old car..just wasn't sure bout the Z....do I have to take off my head light assembly? or not? or the entire bumper has to come off??

i believe all you need to do to access the lights are to remove the wheelwells which are fiarly simple to take off.

You might want to take the bumber off also to get some more space. You don't want the bulbs touching anything. Did you just get bulbs or did you get the ballast also?

if he already has HID, ballast wouldnt be needed. you can go throught the tire well.

turn the wheel all the way and you should have enough space.
