Some great ideas, but the keyfob is wayy too bulky for me.

I like the Rogue idea, but I need to have the trunk button.

The remote is 100% compatible with a Z.
They retail for a lot from the dealerhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-O...Q5fAccessories
but if they really like you it will be less I got mine for around $20 bucks and cut it for free all I had to do was swap the transponder chip(very easy).

The rogue key is hot! But $80 =(

I suppose for those who have done the switch blade key they realizes how cheap and bulky the thing is. Mine is peeling and it keeps opening in my pocket. The longer I have it the more I notice how flimsy these things are. Is not like the german ones, trust me you'll get tired of it.

Also what is the point of opening the trunk with your remote when you need your hands to lift the hatch anyways? might as well press the button. This would be different story if the hatch opened up all the way then you could occupy both hands with whatever you are carrying.

How can i get it for $20????

for the flip key should I get the key cut before I put everything back together? Or put evrything back together then bring the whole assembly to the dealership?

Get the key cut before you assemble it. The bulkiness of the plastic doesn't fit many of the locksmiths machines.

I tried HD, Lowes and even Ace and no one would cut it. The reason behind it is because since a lot of the keys are chipped, they check to see if your new key has the proper chip in it. Even though the cutting process itself is the same the machine will reject the key cuz of the chip.

So i went to a private locksmith. He did it for me but told me it was not his responsibility if it did not work. I tried explaining him how i was going to transfer my current chip to the new key but he didnt understand but cut it for me anyways.

Again since cutting metal is cutting metal, the key worked fine.

Heck yeah im gonna order one next week. Seems its not too difficult to do so im sure i can manage. I wish i didnt have to carry my house key, so i could just have the fob only to carry. too bad they dont have one with a switch blade on both sides one for the car and one for the house key haha. Those are the only 2 keys i carry i hate bulky keyrings.
