Default What antenna is this?

I'm wanting to remove this ugly eye sore but I'm not 100% sure what it is for. I remember reading somewhere that is the stock satellite radio antenna, but I want to make sure. Can't seem to find that thread again.
Just want to make sure since I have the stock navigation and don't want to loss that function. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry for straying away from your question, but do all aftermarket navigation/headunits require an antenna like that?

looks like a satellite radio antenna. Anyway, what the hell is that rubber moulding along the edge of the roof??? im not talking about the rubber wire cover for the antenna.

If you have the stock navigation system that is NOT the antenna. The antenna for the stock navigation system is located in the front dash, right in front of the windshield. The antenna you have pictured is more than likely a satellite radio antenna.

My brother's 05 has satellite radio, his sat antenna is in the same location as yours. It maybe the angle of your photo but his looks slightly different than yours.

def a sat antenna. i have a similar one minus the huge rubber surround
If you have the stock Bose system hit the radio button until the sat function appears and enjoy

Thanks for all the input and the laughs,
As long as it isn't the navi antenna that damn thing is gone.
I no longer have a subscription to satellite radio so no need for it. Also thinking of getting my roof painted black.
Anyone have any good advice of getting it off safely. I mean without scratching the hell out of my roof? That thing is on there!!!
