Default stock 03 bumper w/o grill

Sup guys, anyone remove their 03-05 grill on their stock bumper? I love the 06+ grills but hate the ones in the earlier models. It just doesnt look clean to me. I could get the 06 bumper but id have to pay for the bumper+repaint which i dont want to do. I thought about removing them,...anyone have pics of stock bumper with no grill? All i see are ones with a lip. Thanks

unless you have an arc oil cooler or a FMIC, removing the grill exposes too much crap and looks terrible.

Here is what I suggest. Remove your grill, grab your camera, snap the picture, take a look or post picture for comments. If you don't like it, put it back.

Except that once the grill is removed it is not possible to put it in without some bondo and elbow grease.

lol, but you have to cut the grill out to remove it. there is not putting it back.

Remove front bumper
Cut out grill with a hacksaw
Trim with file.
Put the bumper on

I might just hold on saving some $ for an 06 bumper. I found a pic, tho i think mine wont look as bad since i have a darker color car, here it looks soo empty.

It looks so empty because you are looking at it from a side angle. If you look straight, it would expose a lot of crap

ya im actually trying to go after that look...his dont look like that anymore so i think i can bite off that style lol. I already got the car dropped and have the SF challenge in RMC so stance and wheels are pretty similar to that car. I also have the 06 headlights, i think with the Veilside lip in either black or Carbon fiber i can take off the grill. Watcha guys think

Also wheres the cheapest place i can buy that veilside lip? And are there any other alternative/cheaper ones that look similar? I know with the roads here and my drop ima mess it up anyway.

here is a good reason not to remove the grill. This is not my car, but you get the idea. Notice how the lower part bowes down at 125mph.

wow thanks for sharing, but does he have the underbody tray? it seems like he doesnt. U think with the lip and the underbody tray it would be less likely that would happen?

you could always fill it with an interfooler. trust me people will respect you for it
