Clear JDM Tail Lights
I've been using these JDM tail lights for a while now but last night noticed they were still illuminated while the car was parked and shut off. Went thru the normal trouble shooting of stepping on the brake pedal, flicking lights on and off, key switch on/off, etc, etc but nothing seemed to work.
Went to bed thinking my battery would be dead in the morning.
Woke this morning and the lights were off but the car started just fine.
Got to work, parked the car, and the freaking tails were illuminated again.
Snapped a couple phone pics to post and see if anyone is familiar with this issue.
The lights are very dim and appear to be unrelated to any of the normal lighting systems.....remember the stock tail lights are incandescent not LED.......could a resistor or something have gone bad in these LEDs?

bad switch?
aftermarket alarm?
to confirm this, use a volt meter, and test the pin out from tail light harness.

I haven't done any mods to the stereo, alarm, or anything for that matter other than the lights and the power train.
Have a volt meter but suppose I'll need to get a schematic for additional troubleshooting. A circuit board issue probably = failure....although the lights were fairly expensive.

I'm interested to find out what conclusion you come to. My interior map lights stay lit up just barely. They are aftermarket LEDs. Been like that for a couple years now since i installed them. Hasn't been an issue.

You guys didn't need to have a resistor to get these lights to work on your stock set up if you didn't have LED's before on the 03 - 05 models. I got these last Christmas and they've been sitting in my closet because they screw my cars ECU up in my 03.
