CF parts and real CF wrapping is good. CF stickers is junk. I personally would not do it but if I did it would be like freaking a fat chick. I would hide the truth and never speak of it to anyone.

to each his own... personally i think the wrap looks CLEAN, doesnt give off that glossy shine that can sometimes clash with our dull interiors. and im speaking purely out of FIT and FINISH, that wrap stuff is not cheap apparently. so decide what you think looks best to you, besides both are not functional in any way they are just for eye candy

It depends which CF wrap you have. The 3M or nefty wraps look pretty good. I honestly think the REAL CF interior piece look too tacky, high gloss just doesn't match the Z's dull interior.

In my opinion cf fabrics looks better. The real one is too glossy for the interior, but it's just my taste. I've had fabric for 6 months and still looks like new

+1. I will be doing wrap. The only reason people put carbon fiber in the interior is for the carbon look. The CF Fabric looks a lot better. I can't believe people pay $600 for covers and when I see it, I don't like it. The fabric can be had for $60 and that will cover the entire interior. Just my opinion.

judging by the average price for dimensions these things go for, i highly doubt you can wrap the whole interior with $60 worth. again, i dont think they are cheap but def a nice aesthetic alternative to covers

The guy here selling them was $30 a yard and people were covering center console, center dash, and window switch with 2 yards.

The trick is getting it to stick without lifting over a period of time. Especially in hot areas like Cali.

if your fabric looks like this:

https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...ecoration.html

i say go for it.

if you go real carbon, it'll be much more expensive.. and if you damage it.. you'll be pissed lol compared to the fabric

I spent some time on mine and made sure it was done really well. I don't know how many hours it took, but probably close to 6 hours to do everything. I disassembled the navigation cubby hole to remove material so it wouldn't scrape with the new upholstery but also removed all of the rubberized coating/paint stuff.

We used high quality spray on contact cement because I worried about the cheaper aerosol spray glue not lasting very long.

It turned out really great - I just wish the material was a little more black like my shift boot.
