Default Source for driver pass door lexan windows?

Does anyone know of a source for lexan driver and passenger side door windows? I've looked all over the place, and so far have only found some from Esprit (in Japan) and they're like 900 bucks a piece

I'm getting a carbon hatch and lexan soon. I'm in the middle of a cage and carbon fiber door install and thought some lexan windows would be nice to throw in while I have the doors torn apart.

Cheapest option would be to remove you factory window and buy a sheet of 1/8" (or thicker if you like) lexan and just trace n cut. Don't forget to make a frame for the lexan windows as well.

Glad to see you tackling this kind of project! Keep the forums updated with the build. It's something I've bounced around in my mind as well but after my Mastergrade/lexan nightmare I've given up hope on weight reduction.

Yeah, thats the route I was thinking about going. I did make a call to this place called Pro Glass in IL and they said they would make a full set of molded windows for any car for $1075. I told him I had a 350z and they said it would include both the windshield (which I probably will leave stock for safety ), the read window, both rear quarter windows, and both the driver and passenger door windows. It sounds like a decent deal for all six, and it's the good Lexan with the mar guard scratch resistant coating (a lot of places sell the standard lexan)

What was your Mastergrade/lexan nightmare about? Leaking? I've heard problems about getting it to seal. What did you end up doing?

Sealing was fine...
The fitment of the hatch was otherwise terrible and there are gaps all around that I don't think I will ever get fixed. Sure, I can deal with some fitment issues with aftermarket parts but this was just beyond what I could tolerate. I'm either going to buy a used hatch from a member that ended up getting a good fitting one, or just go back to stock.

If you do end up getting the lexan work done by that local guy, get some pics up. I would be interested in side/quarter/and a new rear window myself. Do you know offhand if they offered tinted lexan? Thats what I have now simply so I wouldn't need to paint on the black border around the edge of the lexan. (cheaper plus keeps the local cops from raising an eyebrow to the lexan)

Thanks guys for the heads up on mastergrade. I've been trying to figure out which hatch to get. I'm def not going to get mastergrade, and I've had bad luck with crappy stuff from SEIBON. I'm probably going to get my hatch from AIT Racing; the people that do the B-Magic stuff. I got a set of their doors, and they are slick. Almost no imperfections what so ever. I've only got one on so far (takes forever drilling and fitting all of the hardware).

What did you guys do to seal the Lexan? Did you use 3M tape or some kind of sealant?

The regular old black silicon stuff (I think its silicon? Maybe its not) that is used for windows and windshields.
Plus rivets or screws for security. Just to make sure the window stays in place on the highway.
