Default Insane Rattling from CF Nismo ****

I've searched about 10 times for this, w/o finding any resolution to this issue.

I recently installed my CF Nismo **** (yes i took out that bronze piece underneath the stock shifter), and the damn things RATTLES like CRAZY. The only way to keep it from rattling is to just hold the damn **** the entire time i'm driving.

I tried wedging something b/w the aluminum and the CF area, but nothing fits in there. (Tried dental floss, paper...)

I managed to find a philips screw in the ****. I was hoping that by unscrewing it, i'd be able to take the top part out, remove the CF part, and put some superglue/locktite in there to keep it from moving, then put it all back. But, when i tried to get it out, it wouldn't come out. The screw just kept spinning in there.

I'd hate to think that I wasted $50 on a **** that's just going to rattle.

Should have a plastic boot and or screws that can tighten it down.

I have no idea how it could rattle. My nismo cf **** screws in to my shifter. So even if I dont have it fully in, its still wont rattle. Basically I can adjust the height to my preference.

^the rattle us created by the cf part becoming loose and moving about. I have the same prob, although not as bad it would seem and the only solution is to just turn up the music.

Do you have one of those metal "finishers" that goes below the ****? Mine rattled like crazy against the shift ****, so I stuffed more rubber tubing under the finisher to snug it up against the **** and it went away.

I don't understand...so the CF piece inside is just like a rolled sheet? Kinda like a toilet paper roll?

As Gibbs said, it's the actual plastic/carbon fiber part. It just spins freely around the metal, and rattles like no other. I'll try to take a vid and post it up here tomorrow. It's RIDICULOUS how loud it gets.

And it's only when i accelerate too. If i'm sitting at a light or in neutral, it's silent.

I guess the only solution is a new ****?

Yeah, i was considering that, but i'm afraid to have the superglue stick to the outside and ruin it. CF Nismo **** FTL! =(
