Man, now that I have been driving the Z for 2 days the seat belt is driving me nuts. It rubs on my neck and trys to cut my head off with every bump.
Has anyone found a solution for this?
The car is a roadster if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance for ideas.

Nismo seat belt pads help alot. I used to hate having the seatbelts rub against my neck. The pad is a little bulky, but gets the job done, and no more seatbelt rash.

Must be mounted differently in the coupe. Mine seem to be the same as in every other car I've driven.
Do you think that the upper mounting point is lower or higher in your roadster than other cars you've driven?

Neck burns are a way of life with the Z.
I have seen the 2004 have a plastic seat belt restrainer clip which fits on the top side of the seat, and this changes the seat belt angle. I asked my dealer to order them but they can't even get a part number yet.
It may take a few months before they are available, but I plan on trying it. In the meantime I too got some seatbelt pads. Got mine from ebay. $20.00 for 2 neck pads and $20.00 for 4 seatlbelts pads.
Also got the center console armrest. from ZComfortRest.com Very nice on long trips.
Pic included.

You can get a belt extender at www.courtesynissan.com . This will change the angle of the belt, moving it more lateral and resting on you shoulder more than your neck. That's what I did.

My biggest gripe is about when the belts seems to lock. It seems like every time I am accelerating in traffic to pass someone it locks and I can't get a good look into the drivers-side mirror.

I got the Nismo seat belt pads from www.performancenismoparts.com
I have one on the sholder (keeping from gettin my head cut off as well) and one across my lap....
they are different then the ones pictured above.. ill grab a pic of them today...
They are PLUSH! they feel like they are like a very soft suede... very comfortable... you just want to snuggle up to them..
dont use a racing harness unless you have a roll bar... you may squish your head if you flip...

I am 6'2" tall already.
As for coupe/roadster. Yes, I believe the seatbelt mounts may be different. I don't think I had this problem when I tested the coupe.
As for the pads, no thanks. That is just one more thing to mess with. Besides, even a pad rubbing my neck would bug the crap out of me. By lunch time I got serious razor stubble and having a pad rub that stuff is ITCHY in the extreme.
Where does the pad sit when the belt is not in use? seems like it might mess up the belt retraction.
I never thought of the extender. I thought that was for people who were too large to use the stock belt. But now that I look at it I guess it would move the shoulder belt over to. Hmmm...

Check this out It's a harness chassis bar I got from avalon Racing
It stiifens the chassis ( great for roadsters ) and moves the stock belt mounting point. My stock belt now rides lower off my neck.
Check out the photos

The Roadster comes stock with a cross bar sort oflike that. The two visible roll bar hoops are actually mounted on a cross bar that stiffens the body.

Get a pair of seatbelt adjusters from your local Pepboys. They cost about $2.50 and work. They are just small clips that attach near the buckle that allow you to change the angel of the shoulder belt away from your neck.

I got a set of clips for like $3 at walmart. It seems to work ok, but it is a little ugly.
I also ordered the belt extender from Courtesy Nissan. I will try each solution and stick with the one I like best.
Thanks guys.
