Let's also try to get one thing straight, it's cool that you want to make your '03 into a '07-'08 nismo Z, that's awesome, it's something I would probably do if I had the money and wasn't able to get a real NISMO. My only problem is the use of the plaque with the serial #1161 being used, it's wrong and you know it.

btw, I'm not 16

I hope you're not implying banning someone for voicing their opinion, which I mean myself, I haven't broken any rules.

NO im not, but we all are working hard to remove the bashing and harassing my350z has come to lately.....

its one thing to voice opinion its another to slander/name call and get irate over a topic....remember you wanna do that, do that in the lounge, not in my tech area......

he asked a tech question.....so far it seems my post is the only one that answered it. that leaves 20 some odd post not on topic...

there are some really crazy people out there with home depot vynil sidding as body kits and fake blowers glued on hoods......regardless to each their own......

TSG-Z post 15 is a great example of how to post and stay within the confines of rules...MORE SO, post 16 shows it reaches the OP in the eyes of the nismo owners views..........at that point - done!

I pretty much summed it up in post #21, I'll just leave it at that. I apologize for going off topic, but as a true NISMO owner, I had to say something.

Yes thank you I had gotten the same response I go tomorrow and see if the junkyard will let me remove..and yes the junkyard is very strict but I just told the guy i was swapping with oem parts he simply said yes that's why I feel so lucked out I plan to push my luck one more time and say that I forgot one part to swap....as far as the gauges I made a rookie mistake and simply didn't click the connector in right it works perfect and looks brans new.....did I mention the nismo only had 9K miles practically new!!!!

Good Luck with getting that last critical component for the AC controls. If they don't let you take it off I'm sure you can just grab one from any 07-08 350Z.

I personally love the Nismo's interior pieces. If I could get a hold of those pieces, I would definitely swap them out as well. As far as the Plaque goes...."in memory of" RIP

Peace!

Now you're changing your story so which is it, are you "converting" to a full nismo Z "replica", or just a look alike? And no, They're not the same thing.
yes you are who cares and yes they are.

I think it a great idea if you get it to work, I agree with "gotagetmyz", I love the Nismo Interior, I always loved the red and black stitching, reminds me of the 300zx, gives the car a more sporty feel. The seats also helps the contrast.

and personally, my 2003 interior has gone to shiets through the years, all the scuff up black plastic, fading aluminum trim, common bolster wear on the seats.

Also, not to many ppl know but the most if not all 2003's did not come with the knee pads, seat belt extenders, extended sunvisors, etc..
I would be more than happy to upgrade my interior lol.

Theres nothing you can do to make your car a real nismo Z except to buy a real one. I dont care if you got the entire V3 kit, wheels, exhaust, and interior, you'd have to get an HR motor, suspension, and that special chassis that was welded in specific places.

Regardless of your intentions, I hope you get those gauges and stuff working since you lost your orignial ones to the insurance people. That would suck to be stuck without them! good luck.

Actually, there is a difference between "converting" something, and making it appear to look like something else.

bldg250z, I would love to see pictures of the "look alike" NISMO once your done.

Good news everything worked perfect. As far as the nismo issue I will only replicate the style, but never call myself a real nismo owner.

Thanks for your help.

Special thanks to jasonz-ya good to have you calming us down

Sorry about the loss bro. Have you thought of possibly keeping the badge as a little piece of history. I am sure the OP could find the black piece that covers that area.

Please post pics.... trying to visualize how the bottom of the console ( around the shifter matches up with the rest of the console ( that goes between the seats ). Also how does the headunit look... I thought they were curved differently 03-05/06-08????

Thanks John

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to keep it as a momento, instead of letting somebody else have it. When I wrecked my nismo, I was pretty sure it was totaled, and the first thing I did was take the plaque out.
