I don't understand why you wouldn't want to keep it as a momento, instead of letting somebody else have it. When I wrecked my nismo, I was pretty sure it was totaled, and the first thing I did was take the plaque out.

Honestly, half the stuff I see flying around these forums are unwarranted comments based mainly off of pride, aggression, and testosterone. Chances are, 99.9% of the posters on here will never see your car's interior, so to take their *opinion as the main source of your decisions would be in error. Do what you want with the car you bought with your OWN money and are upgrading with your OWN money.
Any updates with the conversion, OP? As someone mentioned earlier, +1 on getting the white unibox from your friend's car to try to sync your systems.

keep in mind my tranny is out and my car is in the air waiting for its new clutch plus got crap everywhere.... here are some pics got alot of work ahead of me but its all good thats part of the fun
