Ugghhh! I bought a titanium shift ****, but I cant get the factory one off. I"m guessing it just twists off but I get to a point where it does'nt want to move anymore. I dont want to damage anything. Can someone please tell me what Im missing 'cuz its aggravating the hell out of me!
I can't find the thread with pics, but like above;
1. Wrap a paper towel around the shift **** so you won't damage the shifter in the next step
2. Get a vice grip and tighten over the paper towel
3. Righty tightey lefty loosey, turn the shift **** left and it should come out fairly easily
4. Replace it with your new shift ****.
get a tommy karra hebi bebi and tell me it isn't a dramatic difference. even my team voodoo was a noticable change for the better
I was merely referring to his comment that the gears feel shorter. The key word here being "feel". A new shift **** isn't going to shorten your gearing.

I'm guessing and well hoping that he meant the shift throw feels shorter?
I am hoping you had something like a pipe wrench holding onto the shaft also while twisting the **** and werent just twisting the hell out of the linkage also.
