yeah, mine said the same thing........

its just that they have a "lip" that you can get a dremel sanding stone to cut away at and make 60mm gauges fit in the hole.

no biggy....

Also, take note that this is not an A pillar replacement? it goes over your current oem A-pillar and you will have to drill holes into your oem a-pillar in order to route wires through it.

Also, i found that the very bottom corner, i had to trim with my dremel to get the correct fit. once trimmed correctly you cant tell it was trimmed unless you hack off too much..

I didnt use those plastic plugs the come with....the bite........i used short self tapping sheet metal screws to install mine.

When I had it done it was a direct replacement. Wiring was routed behind the pillar.

I had to trim with my dremel to get the correct fit.
If installed correctly this is not necessary.

In order to fit the 60mm gauges you will have to trim the opening. I used a Dremel with a grityy sandpaper drum. You take the Dremel and work the outer edge expanding it slowly. You will need to offset the opening slightly toward the "meaty" end (toward the pillar). Just take time and constantly test fit the gauge until it fits. Do not make the opening too large as the gauge will be held in place by the tight fit.

PM me if you have more questions.

Well, i didn't install it, cause its you cant........but i mounted it....if i didnt, i would be letting my wife down.....and that aint happening bud..........

mind you i mounted it upside down cause I know some peeps that don't know the story would think "rice" so i mounted it upside down so people would ask "why" and then i tell them the quick story.... most understand....

I just ordered a pod from a vendor on this site. I'll report back when it arrives if you can afford to wait a little while.

Well, I was going to keep that until I get it and check it out in case it was bonk, but if you insist. I got it from Dan@Assaultech. Thus far he has been VERY nice and appears to be quite knowledgable when it comes to the product he is selling. I was only going to get the gauge pod, but I think I will be doing the majority of my business through him. Just my .02

If I think what I thought u got is the gauge pod they sell on their site. It's just a regular autometer gauge pod which it a cover not a replacement.

Hope it's something different. Let us know asap

Crap! Looks like I got kind of duped on this cover. I unwrapped it and discovered that it is in fact a cover. The same one Barnabas has. It looks like it covers the entire pillar though, so I guess it's not too bad. Without the car here with me it's impossible to see how well it fits to the existing pillar. So I guess the search continues...For the record, this does not mean the vendor I purchased this from is bad. Everything else I ordered from this dude showed up accurate, super quick and was wrapped with great care.
