Default Aero Designs seat "BRIDE replica"

Well the last thread was locked up by mods without notice, not sure why.

Either way here is the specifics....

Could not justify the diferance between real BRIDE seats and replicas so I am trying these out for shitz and giggles. Bought it from the shop directly to save $20 but here is a pic of the small size:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...OS:MOTORS:1123

I am larger than the avg japan man so I got the Large, it looks the same except the large does not say "Aero Designs" down the middle.

*Shipping: 7 calander days from payed to pickup
*Cust service: Shop called twice to confirm my size and also advised me of tracking info ASAP. Over all was a great experiance.
*CF Back: real carbon fiber and it covers the bottom and sides for a smooth look. Quality vacume CF without bubbles or excessive black in on the edges.
*Seat quality: So far looks like great quality and is much nicer than stock.
*Seat feel: I am 5 foot 10 inches and weigh about 150 - 160lbs, it fits like a glove but very comfortable.

Will post pics and updates periodically to confirm the value over time. So far seems like BRIDE is alot like ARC. You pay for the name and if ARC and BRIDE are the names you want to be associated with then more power to you. My personal opinion if I had a BRIDE seat I would remove the brand name anyways. Yes we know BRIDE is a "BALLAR" status but thus far every person I have showed my seat to and told them its a BRIDE replica was like "WTF did you say to me???" like I was going to marry my car seat. So in the end I am testing this seat out as I am looking for the best price on a real CF seat and this is it.

Now I know this will be a flame fest and will end up locked like many of my threads but WTF I like to share.

Further more I know all of you that dropped 2,000$+ on real seats will flame in protection of your purchase but please be assured that you do not need to convince us that it was worth it... only yourself.

So without further adue, please take a sec to open your mind and check out a seat that does not leave you hemorrhaging from the wallet.... nor a sore @$$.

Having had a Sparco Touring seat in a previous vehicle in the past, I can tell you that you won't be able to see jacksh*t behind you with that seat. It will take a lot of time to get used to, be careful.

I have seen both authentic BRIDE and near identical replicas side by side on the same day. I had the BRIDE BRIX II in my STI and someone at a local meet had a replica. I swear to you can't tell the difference AT ALL. They have it down to the needle per stitch. Logo and etc. The fabric felt pretty similar too.

Now the only difference it might be will be the internal structure of the seats. BRIDE's do test their seats extensively and it will keep its rigidity in an accident or too a point without injuring the driver/passenger. With the replica's that would be my only concern.

So why get something that looks like Bride seats? Why not just get a cheap and sh*tty seat that looks original, and not like a copy?

... or why not get a better seat that is on the cheaper side. There are alot of Italian companies that make AAA seats that are cheaper than Bride and are FIA compliant (ie: safe). Sparco, OMP, are some that can be had for $500 per seat. Corbeau is another company.

I guess you really dont care much about seeing while you drive. I dont know why ppl pay that much $ for fake seats when there are budget seats that have built a name for themselves for years. You could of gotten corbeua or sparco seats for the same price and at least then you know they're quality. There are so many fake bride seats out there first think that pops up in anyones head when they see bride now is fake its so bad bride is sewing japan on their seats now

Yea, I would never put anything this extreme in a daily driver. This is a project car only, my first real mod project so I am still testing to see what I like but tks.

was strickly looking for a CF seat that I liked and saw this seat on google images. Did not know it was a bride replica as it does not say BRIDE.

Thought it was some Aero Design seat, oh well ends up being the style I wanted to try.
