Takata bolt on harness question???
Okay, it apprears as if you almost have it right.......see, on post #3 if you look, the end of the harness strap will allow for the mount to come completely off........thats what you need........
now of course you can choose to leave the mount dangling there........let me search through a bunch of threads and see if i can find you a picture...
if not, ill take a picture of my own on my car......i had to cut the very LAST inch in order to let the mount slip off and toss it aside..

If you do wanna use that seat belt mounting point in your picture, you can do what this guy did..........which is what Scotts300 said about drilling holes and using mounting plates.
Another members pics taken from another thread:
Belt location you show - of course no mounting plate needed here:

Inside location - tranny tunnel location - hole drilled and mounting plate used:

You can simply drill hole and add a free mounting plate and nut, or you can have a mounting plate welded......etc..up to you.
if your trying to follow rule books, then you wanna double check it for sure, but i believe its a welded 4x4 inch plate minimum with XX amount of thickness...i believe 3/16 inch thick minimum but i would need to look it up to be sure..

VO, check out this pic to see how I inverted my setup to avoid having to trim off any excess straps.

That's how my Sparco harnesses were also.

So in inverting the buckles, I'm assuming the portion of the shoulder harness that goes across your chest is also inverted? In my case, this would put the Takata logo backwards. No bueno...

Why would you trim off any excess harness?
People are talking about cutting off the hardware on the harness mean to latch onto the eye bolt, not the actual harness itself.
Here's a link to the Schroth PDF file. I used these instructions, it has the best diagrams as to how to properly wrap the harness around a harness bar. Instructions start of page 24

This is my car - I backed it off the harness bar to show the loops and the top right corner shows my cut END:

dang? not sure, mine came with the harnesses i bought........I would call a local racing shop.....maybe even look on line at harness manufactures and see if you can contact them and order some separately..
or measure the width of your harnesses and you can probably get some from ratcheting straps to work from any autozone/walmart, etc...or contact S-line

Thanks for the help...I'm sure I can find something. Just looks like the excess strap lays a little more flat going back over the bar.
Haha, yeah they have some awesome BBQ but I just found a place down the street that makes the best ribs I have ever had in my life! I'm hooked. If you ever make it up here, hit me up and we'll get some of the BamaGZ crew together for a BBQ meat meet.

Here is how to connect the shoulder harness section to the harness bar:
First, cut the threads holding the buckle in place. It's much easier to cut the thread than it is the actual strap. In addition, the end won't fray.
Here is a pic of how that will look.

Now, follow the red line, so you'll know exactly how to thread the strap through the buckle. You'll notice the end of the strap will be on top, facing towards the rear of the car. DO NOT LEAVE THE BUCKLE ON THE HARNESS!!!

Here is how both ends will look when you are finished.
