Default Driving without Cluster and door panels

I'm working on a bunch of different areas on inside my car at once. I wanted to know if I could drive without the gauge cluster connected and without the inside door panel attached(Will the car still lock?)

I really need input on this. Thanks

If you drive without the gauge cluster behind your steering wheel your car will eventually die as it will be operating only on the power available from the battery. With the gauge cluster disconnected the alternator will not operate.
