like everywhere else the money you make is relative to the expenses you have.
you'd earn a decent salary yes, but if you factor the cost of living.
yeah its tax free but remember everything is imported so you end up having to pay for that + the duty that retailers pay + their mark up so they can make $.
for example my electric bill is about $490.00 USD per month
add the water, food, insurance, mortgage, gas and that sweet salary ends up looking sour.
Even better example would be Miami gas price is about $3.00 per gallon (rounded up) vs $6.50 per gallon here.
what you'd pay a year for dish network or direct tv for a year I would have to pay per month cause there is no option. it is what it is basically.
don't get me wrong, i love it here and wouldnt live anywhere else.
just thought i'd share that.

not quite that simple.
job in the US paying $45k USD vs job here paying $46k KYD (Cayman currency) = about $56.2k USD so it helps balance out the cost of living.

I got a little work done to one of the tail lights, I have put some l.e.d.s in the upper reflector and lower reflector so far. The pics are just to give you an idea of what to expect. Everything is taped and set into place for the pics so if any l.e.d.s look out of line at all that is the reason. This set is going to take a little longer, as I said before this is a busy month for me so hang with me and I will give updates as I can.

I will post some for you...These are the same tail lights just a different l.e.d. set up in this set than the other. I am still not done with the upper reflector it will be getting more l.e.d.s. I am also in the process of installing the turn signal l.e.d.s along the bottom and up the side of the lower reflector.Once this is done I will post some more pics and some video of the turn signals in action. I am trying to give each tail light set a little different twist so no two are alike. Well at least to start with... there are only so many things you can do with these configuration wise.

 

I have had a few people asking about the second set. It has already been sold. I have some videos on youtube that have brought in a lot of responses and someone off of there purchased them from me. They are supposed to send me some pics and videos of how they look on their Z once they install them. I will update the pics here once I receive them. I am working on a couple of other sets at the moment but they are also already sold.

Still in effect, Just been very busy working on orders. I also have a set of full led headlights I have been working on for the Z. They house 16 super bright white 10mm leds for the headlight/high beams, 8 are used for the headlights and 8 for the high beams. They also have 10mm white led running lights and 10mm amber chaser turn signals all housed behind a clear reflective lens.

As far as the pics go of the second set of tails installed, I still have not received any pics from the customer yet. Once I do I will be sure to post some up here and on my site. I may create a builds in progress section on My L.E.D., once I do I will display some of the pics of the Led headlights.

So check in every now and again, you just may catch a peek at some builds in progress....

1 Mean, Is it possible to send you my taillights or order some taillights through you and just get them painted gloss black?

I don't need all the fancy light work (though it looks cool, just can't afford right now)

 

just curious and sorry a little off topic but any plans to do a rear turn signal redo where the stock ones are. maybe with the chaser and reverse light in there so they can match up the rears?

We are actually getting ready to design a new turn signal/ reverse light for the 350z. Just waiting on all the parts to arrive before we can start mocking up any new designs or calculating any prices for that project. I can tell you there will be three different options for the turn signal function: A: Regular blinking on/off, B:Chaser turn signals same as you described and same as on the prototype led headlights we are building,C:Sequential turn signals. We have got a lot of project going on right now. With the new led headlight development in place and a whole new line of 350z led tail lights coming out really soon.The first to be revealed this week if everything goes as planned, so it may take a few weeks to get some fully working models of these turn signals that we can demo. If you would like I can add you to our mailing list and keep you informed by email on any new projects, products and specials going on here at My L.E.D.


We also do custom designs and requested projects at My L.E.D., not just what is pictured at our site or what may be posted here at my350z.com. If anyone has any personal design option that they would like to see if we can produce, stop in and send us an email with your custom design requests. It may take a little while to produce a working prototype depending on the difficulty of your request and the custom light work that we have going at that time. We will see what we can mock up for you and then take it from there.

Been holding off on the tails cause I wanted to get some 06+ headlights blacked out and was looking for turn signal/reverse rears that would tie in and get all at the same time, more cost effective on shipping all at once here.

You got it, I will keep you guys posted ... I don't blame you vex, I know, its very expensive to ship international. I will get on mocking you up some rear turn signal/ reverse lights and see if any designs I come up with are what you are looking for. I think you will like the new tail light designs as they should tie into the custom turn signal/ reverse lights nicely.

 

Hey can you send me a pm of how you opened your tails I cant find a corner that's a good start etc. also you said a interior removal tool whats that can it be replaced with another house hold item spatula knife etc...
anything would help I tried heating them up but like previous threads states it just melts anything would be helpful
