As is customary at Z club meets, we started talking about beer, cars, and women. One of the members has the ***** **** in his Z, I mention the beer handles, and the next thing you know we're talking about serious business.

I should try it out and see if the thread will work. If so, I'll take pics for the lulz.

you shouldnt do that as a shift ****.. i do know a few drifters that use them as their e-brake handles though and that is pretty sweet. i bet the cops would love to see that if you get pulled over though. nothin goes together like beer and driving!!
shift **** is M10x1.25 if i remember correctly....

you can drill out the hole on the bottom and then hammer in a Metric nut, i did the following when installing a universal aftermarket shift ****:
I went to autozone and purchased 1 package with two each M10X1.25 nuts. while i was there i bought a M10X1.25 bolt as well - sorta long bolt...about 2-3 inches or so...
Got home and busted out my handy dandy welder and put the 2 nuts together on the bolt and welded them. Then i took it to the grinder and cleaned up the welds.. I left enough weldment on there that I got a rubber mallet and hammered the nuts inside the shaft of a shift ****. Now U can screw the shift **** on just like the OEM shift ****...

Damn, J. Thanks for the DIY tips. That's outstanding! Haven't really thought of it that way. I tried putting one on, but the hole was too small for the Nissan bolt.
