Default iPhone mount and leather seat repair

Here's what I found to be a cheap/easy/clean method of mounting iPhone. I have it hooked up to HU via PA15-NIS. And that's an Apple 3g dock.

Also, if anyone is experiencing wear on their leather seats, I called Fibrenew to come out and do a cleaning/repair and thought it turned out nice.

Edit: I thought you were asking for a solution to mount your iPhone. Disregard.

Wow that repair turned out really nice. How were they able to do that?

It's a fill in putty....then paint.

They scrubbed them first with a brush and some cleaning solution and that alone made them look 100x better. I had no idea how filthy they were. Then they just mix their dyes to match the existing color, apply a slurry to the worn areas, then spray the dye. Charge $175 total for both seats, thought it was worth it.

Any idea how long a repair like that would be good for? Just wondering because I have some wear and tear on the drivers seat and have been looking for a solution other then recovering/buying new seats. Gonna call fibrenew and have them take a look at it.

I think it's variable depending on the extent of wear according to what they were telling me. He said the condition of my leather was near optimal for a repair and should hold up for awhile, mimicking the wear rate of the original leather. After they did the repair I let it just hang out for 2 days without sitting in the seats to be safe. Since then I've slid/rubbed across them without holding back and the finish is unphased. I'm assuming that since they actually dye the leather and not just spray a top layer of paint that it wouldn't be susceptible to chipping away or anything like that.

It seemed like the most tedious part by far was mixing the dyes to get an exact color match.
