Default NISMO CF B Pillar - how do they hold up?

Does anyone have feedback on the Nismo CF B pillars? I have not put mine on yet, not sure if I need to spray them with clear or anything to keep them in good shape. The car is garaged, but I had the Gruppe S ones one while ago and the first rain storm it saw, it ruined them like someone threw acid on the CF. Any feedback is appreciated.

I bought mine from Japan a few years ago and they are still perfect. Some people have them and they don't hold up.

So i'm not sure if there were certain batches that were better than others, or even if there was a JDM / USDM version.

Hope that helps though.

The entire back side is adhesive, as long as you clean the pillar well they should be there for a loooong time.

The ones I have seen on peoples cars look like trash, just especially faded and such. The dont seem to hold up as well as say... a cf hood or hatch. Just my opinion. If it wouldnt be too much, Im sure a coat of automotive clear wouldnt be a bad idea.

If your car is rimmed up, does that make the CF last longer?

Born Slippy, do they see rain? My Gruppe S ones did fine, but the one time it was out of my hands getting some upgrades, it got rained on and they were totalled...otherwise it is garaged and never sees rain.

I'm more concerned about them getting ruined after such short exposure to rain

I think direct exposure to the sun is more of a issue. My friend has a 06 magnetic black z near me with a seibon hood which wasn't clear coated and the hood was tore the f up after year of ownage. He said it happened over a two week period just this past month of leaving outside parked in direct sun light while he was away.

My Z has seen alot of rain in 2007-2008 when I DD the Z. (now garaged more)

Highway riding is right, I think the Sun will do more damage than the rain.
