the switch for the passenger seat allows the seat to move forward but not backward... anyone know what the problem could be? or do i have to look into aftermarket seats... any help would be appreciated

at the moment, i am not able to reach the two front bolts of the seat because the seat is all the way in the front. so i am not able to simply replace the switch as i would like..

I had/have the opposite problem. Hear me out though...the driver seat moves back but not forward. I haven't tried the cleaner spray yet. After I had some repair done to my bumper, the guy who had moved my seat alllll the way back was able to "jump" the seat switch to get it to move forwards again. I imagine it included juicing the correct prongs in the opened connector with 12v, but I'm not sure. I was able to then move it back to a good spot for me and leave it (no one else drives my car anyway).
Bottom line, a shop that knows what this means might be able to "jump" it for you for a temporary solution.

The same thing happened to my 03 a long time ago. I tried the electrical spray and it worked temporarily. Just go buy the switch from nissan for $70.00 dollars. Make sure before you unhook the seat switches to disconnect the battery otherwise once you get the seats hooked all back up you will get an engine light and airbag light. Then you will have to go through the ecu resetting procedures so save your self the headaches.

I have this same problem with my 04 touring.
I used the radio shack spray it seemed to work for a while.
now I when my seat gets stuck and its too forward I just keep pressing the the switch back and push the seat back and it starts to work again.
maybe you can do it too?
