I've done a few G coupe headlights but this is the first 350z set I've done, they were twice as hard to do as G lights because there is 4 plastic bezel pieces as opposed to 1 on the G.
These are my buddys headlights and he came up with the color scheme, is it ok to paint the reflector part like I did ?
I did leave the reflectors untouched around the projector however. Anyway can I get some feedback guys, thanks

I actually masked off with painters tape around the projector piece I painted white, I couldn't figure out how to get it off.
One of the reasons I made the thread, lol, to find out if there's an easier way to do this, I was able to take off only 2 of the 4 bezel pieces to paint them, those were easy.
But the projector part took a long time cuz of all the masking I had to do.

lol, I was watching the Office while putting the lights back together.
yea I was wondering about the light output, common sense tells me offcourse I will lose output by painting the reflector part. The most important light to us was the main projector headlight, we didnt wanna lose any output with that so I left it untouched. The bottom daytime running one doesn't worry me at all, although the blinker does a little bit. When I plug them back in today I will test them all out, hopefully I won't lose too much reflection with the blinker because I'm 100% sure that's illegal here where I'm at probably anywhere in North America as well.
yes my friends car is white, and I used custom mixed paints, and primer for plastic, obviously I scuffed and sanded the surfaces before painting since that chrome coating is actually very slippery not many primers will stick to it.
he got the idea from the clearance strip from seeing my headlights, my car is white too and I did my clearance strip white a while back too. The bezel on the G coupes you can paint however the hell you want and not lose any light output whatsoever.

^ Plasti Kote plastic primer, you gotta scuff the chrome coating off really well with a 3M scuff pad and use the plastic primer, don't do regular primer it doesn't stick nearly as well as the plastic one. And my friend mixed some matte black for me and I sprayed it through a spray gun.
here are both of the headlights fully assembled ready to go back in the car, I just have to go pick up some new bulbs to put in the lights before tossing the headlights back on the car
