Hold a cat in front of the headlights at night. All it takes is about 2 minutes. If the cat is blind than you have HID .Don't worry the effects are only temporary.

base models do not come with HIDs, but it is possible a previous owner upgraded your headlights.. Take your bulb out and see what kind it is. if its h7 its halogen.. if its d2r its HID, connected to a ballast. or you may have an aftermarket HID kit

look for an aftermarket sticker. it'll be under the hood. it'll say we added HIDs

Umm...look at the lights and see if they have a super white/bluish hue, if they do, then you have HID Lights

If they are orange/yellowish, then they are Halogens

Example:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The car on the left is HID, the car on the right is Halogen...

Quick question...how do you not know this answer for yourself?

03-05 base model dont have HIDs... all 06+ have HIDs base or not

And HID take a second to warm up... they will flash bright on with 100s of thousands of volts... simmer down and start getting brighter by like 30 seconds.

I wasn't sure if I had HIDs and tried this, but my cat still is having trouble seeing. Is there a DIY or something posted here on how to fix my cat's eyes? I checked the Maintenance & Repair section but nothing posted yet. I also searched and searched. PLZ HELP ANY1 PLZ! CAT IS PEEING ON THE FLOORZ!
