Default switchblade car key

I saw the euro style car key on this forum and i decided to do the same thing. On the thread, ppl said that they went to Home Depot, Ace hardware and etc to get their new blank key cut. First, I went to Ace hardware. They cut one side of the key but couldn't get the other side to cut because of the key head is in the way when they move around the key to cut. So now i'm stuck with one side blank and another side cut. So i went to Home Depot and asked if they could cut my key. One H.D. said that the key has to be blank on both sides, which is not my case anymore. Another H.D. told me that they don't even have the cartridge(?) that fits 05 nissan 350z. WTH am i suppose to do now. I already f*ed up my original key and took out the chip. (That's my only key.)
Lock smith wants $75 to cut that little damn key Looooosers.

For those of you who got their key cut at H.D., did they have the cartridge that fits urs?
Where can i get my other half cut ???????????????????????????
