hey guys so last night i was in a rush to change out my front wheel and i think i jacked it from the wrong spot. now the undercover of the car has a big indent in it and it has pushed up into my carpet on the driver side. theres like a semi bulge sticking out. anyway of pushing it back down? let me know.

im an idiot for doing this, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

 

either that or just run your car into a concrete wall. fastest way to jack up a car.

Im not gonna lie, an idiot former friend who works at a body shop did same to mine. I didnt notice it until a little later, but the dumbass had jacked it up at those soft points underneath multiple times. In turn, it raised my floor up just a tad on driver's side, but only noticeable with the mat off.

I have yet to find a way to fix it, and dumbass was more or less fired from the shop as well for this and many other fawkups he did on my friends' Z's. You local Texas section guys can prob guess the shop im talking about Anyway, I tried using a hammer also, but there is no room to swing the hammer to get enough power to knock it back down.

I just left it be for now. If you figure out a way that works, please PM me.

 

If there isn't enough room to swing a mallet, you could maybe try an impact hammer.

I did the same thing about 34 years ago in a 260Z. Put a shop jack under the drivers floor pan. Not too smart. And you are correct: not enough room to swing a hammer.

This must be pulled from the bottom.

hey well i got my buddy whos like 300 pounds to stomp it out for me.

 

duh, just flip the car over and jack it from the other side.

 

Well... I guess if he stomped a little too hard you can always just use the jack to even it out again.

 

can you buy those safety stand adapters anywhere?
