Angry Cars Keyed!!!!

So a couple of friends and I got together (away for college) and went out to go bowling last night for about an hour and a half. We left the bowling lanes at 9:50 to find my Z and my friends 5 series KEYED all the way down the passengers side doors . Oh s**t was i pissed . So after venting for a couple of minutes i went inside to ask the manager to review some of the video tapes. (Also my friend and his older brother work there) My friends brother came down and checked out the video. They couldnt see anything because the cameras are only activated by motion or something he said. The also reviewed some indoor video to see if they could see outside the building but nothing! I called the cops and waited outside the bowling lanes for 2 hours before a cop was able to come down (who was surprisingly nice considering the apparent busy night they had) and wrote up a police report however there is obviously no way of catching this scumbag. So now i am left to pay for it out of pocket seeing as god knows my insurance would sky rocket. Funny thing (which isnt all that funny) is that i just did a full detail on the car about a half hour before i left to go there and my friend had his all polished up too. My dad has a good friend who professionally paints cars who im going to call today to take a look at it soon. Pics are comin soon

why would your insurance go up? Comprehensive covers it. Or at least my insurance covered it.

That sucks to hear man. There's too many jealous haters out there...

Your insurance shouldn't go up for something like that.

sorry to hear man.. touch up paint and a nice 3 stage professional buffing will make it seem a lot less noticable. Try it out..

Based on responses on this thread as well as others, I will give my insurance company a call tomorrow and see what they say. I called a friend today (the one mentioned in the first post) and he said he would try to see it this weekend and not to try to get it out until he sees it. Even if it gets fixed though, the colors wont match like factory

That sucks dude. Thats funny though because the same thing happened to me. Right after I finished detailing the car I went to the hardware store to get some bolts and it got keyed. DB Z as well. Sucks!

Cant save the pics for whatever reason, saves as a .htm file. Thanks for resizing them.

EDIT:Never mind i changed the pics. Thanks

As for the insurance, I have a 1000 dollar deductible and was told it would cost more than that to fix so i will most likely end up eating that. The whole half of my car will need to be re painted and "blended" or whatever the term they used was. They assured me that the paint would be like original and you will not be able to tell. I'm waiting for Saturday when I can hopefully have my friend look at it and give me his evaluation.
