Once the tune is leaned out slightly the smell should start to go away. I only noticed a smell after i got tuned cause i was running lean and they richened it up. What brand electric cutout were you dealing with?

wonder if the tune will "lean itself out" when using Osiris.
not sure what the targets are like..
im hoping the cat helps..

as for the cut out, its the same stuff as the QTP brand/version.
Id go w a dougs, but Stefan already commented his gets stuck too.. and to be honest its WAY too loud for my tastes.
If i am going to fill up w a 200 dollar half tank of Q16 fuel at some point for the big boy map., it will be for a very specific reason/race.. and will surely require a change of tires/wheels as well.. so removing the "boot" over my cut out at that time will be no problem for me.

Dude I'm looking at a new place in the Water Front on Saturday. We should meet up sometime so I can see the car.

Word, my Z is garbage so I can afford it.

Well hopefully you get it back soon. I'm in AZ all the time now so we'll have to figure something out.

Car looks great by the way. Glad it all worked out in the end.

So this is my first time seeing this. I have to say, this car has almost everything sold or talked about in most threads on this site! LOL

There's like, 5 million things on this car I want.

btw.. the intense gas smell?

leaky RFS . I knew this was straight unburned gas i was smelling.

non catalyzed richness smells almost like buring plastic to me.
This was like a cup of gas in my face.

Seems something came lose and i havent heard what it was yet , but i get wet spots oin the ground when i let it sit and idle.

Needs a major burp in the clutch juice too. Cant get it into gear when it sits over night until it warmds up fully and i pump the clutch a ton.

Also hoping my ac issue is just the pressure switch.

Also having the powerlab polished intake tube and green air filter put on this turbo inlet.

Found a silicone 4-3" coupler w a sharp 45% degree angle to it, should go right up and over my ac condenser lines and out the oem inlet hole.

As soon as were done w it, Jimmy Matamoros is coming back by to wrap my hood black adn then its off to Chris Vallet at Rev Em Hard motorsports to fix my exhaust issues ( this cut out leaks like a drunk girl) and to weld on this Magnaflow SS Spun metalic 200 cell cat.

Im really hoping it quiets down the exhaust a bit too.. if not im going to have him do a 2.5" resonator on each side before the cans.. i dont need a loud crazy car to get my pulled over with.. it wil still be PLENTY loud enough w all the above.

And then i can start posting vids eh?

Hers the test fit of the wing on my new hatch.. its cetainly odd, but i like it.. very old school F40 looking.

hatch is getting wrapped black too, leaving the "window area" cf for now.. and ill most likely wrap it w gloss black hexis soon after.

I think i may leave the trailing edge of it under the wing in bare cf tho.. dunno.

Time to tame this car down and get it registered and CIVILIZED.

i broke my TWM short shifter.. again..
its 2 pieces, and its basically a plunger w rubber stuffed into a metal cup that is the shifter base.. terrible design.
My pedal wasnt adjsuted right after my build, nor was my shifter plate.. so i was dragging it thru the syncros and haveing to rev match shift anyways..

so we said fk it.. and welded the hell out of it and polished it up..

the result was a properly aligned shifter, a properly adjsuted RJM pedal , and an absolutley soluid shift feel, zero vibration, play or slopiness.

Its like driving a ferrari right now.. i never thought a nissan box could be like this.

oh, and we were nerding out in the garage all day, so we polished everything even though wed never see the parts again.

got it to the shop using this lol:

the twm w the rubber cut off the shaft and inserted back in the socket:

end result.. mind you , thi s ahs an extra inch of threading down the shaft... and then we cut an inch off the top as well.. this lets my shifter arm sitr farther down vs having a boot sitting way up.. ah the little details.

end result is gangbusters.

Early units had a design flaw, they replaced mine free. Hit them up.

Found my post when this happened to mine.

yeah i removeed my thread when mine broke in half on the fwy at 75mph.. in return for a ton of free sht and a new "upgraded" design shifter.
which broke on me again after 1000 miles or less.

Granted, my pedal and plate adjsutment issues compounded the issue, but F this.. im never dealing w this again.. welded to death and happy as heck w the result.. thers literally no extra downside or increase in vibration.. i have ZERO idea why they make it 2 piece.. someones GOING to die using thier products.. why they chance it, i have NO clue.. if you EVER feel it spongy.. stop driving man lol... and to anyone who has this piece and wants a "glass break hammer/emergency shifter" lol.. carry a 3/8 drive ratchet, a 2 in ext, and a 15mm short socket.. it fits in and will get you down the road in a pinch np.

I have been following this thread and I really like your car, especially with the added FI. Now I see this shotty work and I wonder what type of thinking goes on at this shop? Shotty work and deceptiveness all stuff I hate seeing happen to a member here. Hopefully they can resolve this quickly.
