Hello! I bought my first 350Z ~ 3 weeks ago. Someone else had vandalized it in the previous owner's driveway and the owner had to repaint the hatch and bumper. The shop which did the paint did an awesome job but they didn't replace the logos for some reason or another. I bought some new ones and want to place them as accurately as possible. It's obvious the Nissan emblem is center of the hatch but how far up in inches is it from the bottom of the hatch? and how far up is the 350Z logo from the bottom of the hatch? and FINALLY ... how far to the right is the 350Z logo from the left hatch edge?? Thank you in advance for anyone kind enough to get the numbers for me

 

go to your local nissan dealership and find out? I don't know that's just something I would do.

 

I thought of that today and went by to check it out; they had just sold their only 350 they'd had for weeks! DOhhhh!

 

Do you have a roadster or a coupe?
The coupes have holes in the hatch where the emblem covers. That is unless the previous owner had the body shop shave/fill the holes and paint over.

 

Coupe. Yep - they shaved the holes. I think I know where someone parks a Z by where they work everyday ... hopefully they won't mind if I take a look tomorrow ...

 

why do you want to put them back on? it looks a lot cleaner without the hamburger badge, but to each their own

 

The Nissan "burger" is 1-3/16" from the bottom edge of the hatch.

The 350Z letters are 3/4" from the bottom. The bottom left corner of the "3" is 2-5/8" from the left edge of the hatch. The spacing of the letters is such that the 4 letters span 6"

if it were me i would just leave them off for that smooth clean look since the holes are shaved

 

Someone did you a big favor by shaving and filling the holes, just leave it!

or if you want to go old school, get some of the older Z emblems.

on second thought, scratch that... just leave it naked

 

if everything is filled then just leave it, looks way cleaner without the emblems on the back...pics or ban!!!

Ok! I got the "burger" (haha) and the 350Z emblem placed. My wife and I think it looks better IOO. I haven't uploaded the pics yet but I did take extensive before and after shots. Will post them asap.

 

and thank you all for the measurements! They were spot on with another Z I found up the hwy

 

They didn't put it back on because going badgeless is a cheap mod. I had mine left off when I had body and paint work done. I think it looks better w/o that big hamburger on the back and front bumper, but that just my opinion.
