Default Seibon OEM CF Hood Question

Hi Guys,

Just installed my Seibon OEM style CF hood today and I gotta say I'm loving it. Will post pics up soon. I do have some questions and was wondering if you guys could shed some light.

#1 - My Seibon OEM Hood used different 4 bolts when mounting it to the stock hinge. What I mean is that the Seibon hood had holes which I had to buy 4 different types of screws to screw "into" the hole. The stock hood was opposite which had 4 long poles that was mounted right on the hood and I'm wondering if this is normal for the Seibon?

#2 - I know a couple of people had false alarm going off with aftermarket hoods. I have an 2003 and if I was to disconnect the hood sensor plug, will this cause any issues and mess around with my alarm? Or is this simply just disabling the hood alarm detection. I just don't want any side effects from disconnecting my hood sensor plug.

Thanks for the help!

yes, it's normal for Seibon hoods... You can get the new bolts at Vatozone

Cool... anyone disconnect their hood sensor plug when installing aftermarket hoods? Does it mess with the alarm if you do this?
