Default Power -> Manual Seat conversion

Is this possible? I have busted power/heated/leather seats, and was wondering if it would be as simple as getting manual sliders/rails and swapping them onto the leather seats.

I did a couple searches but all I'm coming up with is the other way, manual -> power

See diagram below. Top seat is manual, 2nd one is power. Looks like it can be done as both seats use the same back bracket plate. Gonna have to unzip leather cover in the rear of seat to access area where slider/bracket bolts to upper portion of seat.

I took a look at the part numbers but in the disambiguation for 87450+A:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_sear....php?keywords=[87450+A]+\(z33&cPath=714_715_863_866

Both power and manual have the same part number, how are we to know which ones are manual rails and which are power?

I wanna say it's the cheaper one (87450-Z33001) but how can we be sure?

Good chance you will have to do something about the Airbag in the seat.

One option..You should be able to get a pair of good used manual seats for about 200 for the pair and transfer your heated leather covers.
Then resell the manual seat covers.

I have an 04 touring car that came with leather....I purchased manual cloth seats and it bolted right up.

I did inspect it well, and im certain the back portion will fit no problem...the seat leather section should also swap over just as easy but since you wont have buttons on the manual driver seat inside corner it may be kinda loose there...

best bet is to buy seats and start swapping it all over..

I can never seem to find Z parts from any local yards, there also aren't very many yards around here that I know of.

I'll probably end up crusing ebay and the classifieds here.
