Stock HU delete, DIY popup LCD
I've been working on this for a while and finally got all the parts together that I needed to start assembly. Please keep in mind that I am not finished, excuse the little hiccup as the lcd rises, but I don't have the actuator mounted yet. It does work great in both directions. It's a bit noisy, but I plan on insulating around the motor to help that. I will also have a series of toggle switches at the bottom, line driver/eq, and the other big hole is for a 7" android device and I plan on having it dock-able. I tested the line driver with my android phone, and the sound is surprisingly pretty good. I also upgraded to polk audio speakers and amps.

These labels will be placed above the rocker switches at the bottom. I had them made at gaugeplates.com. Jon, the power to be, did a fantastic job at fabricating these for me,

Yeah, kinda sucks I only have view of the left most gauge. I'm planning on only using it as a backup monitor. But if I do leave it up, ill be installing a software program on the Android device called "torque" which plugs into the obd2 port, so ill be able to display the hidden gauge info if necessary.
