Default painted my headlight housings but... uh oh?

so i painted my headlight housings last night, and i'll get straight to the question. i only let the paint cure for about 2 1/2 hours, before i re assembled it. will the paint make haze on the inside of my plastic lenses? should i take them off as soon as possible? they have been assembled for about 18 hours or so.

where is the smack myself on the head smiley?
thanks.

You should be ok......as long as you didn't leave fingerprints on the painted parts from handling them so soon.

Depends, they probably have NOT degassed yet.

I always give them minimum 5-6 hours dry time, then I bake them before putting them back into the lens.

If they are done to quickley they can degas and permanently yellow the inside of the lens.

If you don't need the car, I suggest you pull them and leave the bulbs caps off for as long as you can.

hmmm, since its a pain to reopen and let them dry, just open up the bulb and let air get in there and leave it out for a while if your worried about it fogging up or turning yellow.

hmmm, can you access the bulb from the hood at the top? I thought I saw a thread that showed how to access it from the top. Or, pull the bumper off and take of the headlight again, dont think you really need a jack to pull the bumper off, would help tho.

You can't get in from the engine bay.

You need to turn the wheels and pull your fender liner to get in there, it's a *****.

Powuh; If you were referring to me and my sig, I only do it locally and don't do halos due to their failure rate.

Forgot to mention:

The stuff you circled can be painted but say good bye to your high beams, I've painted everything but the projector and it's really not that bad. Looks waaaaay better.

hey just to make things crystal clear, 4DGS, you painted all the chrome except
what i circled in this picture below, and that means you said bye bye to high beams, but your low beam output is fine.

i dont want to lose my high beams or low beams, but want to black out as much as possible, so should i paint everything except what i circle in this picture below?
