Side Mirrors
So I was washing the car today and noticed something subtle on the car. The passenger side mirror is angled more narrow than the driver side mirror. Anyone else noticed this?
Pretty useless I know, but nonetheless pretty interesting. None of my older cars had this...

Yeah, you can se the difference in this top view:

Makes sense for aerodynamic drag reduction, but I'm surprised they went to the trouble since so many Zs are made with right hand drive.
I wonder if the RH drive versions have the left mirror swept back more. Maybe the mirrors are symmetrical, and only the mount is changed to get the different angle.

Wow didn't know it was for aerodynamic purposes... I thought it was to do with the wide rear so that it's easier to see behind you.
If it was for aerodynamic purposes, wouldn't they want both mirrors to angle in the same?

The passenger side mirror holder can be swept back more to put the mirror itself at the correct viewing angle without having it angled in the holder. That looks better, is cleaner aerodynamically, and 99.9% of people wouldn't notice (or care) that it's different.
The Audi Quattro is the same way, so we're in good company.
