make do, if you can, until Gruppe-S gets more.... quality wise it's one of the best bumpers you can add and get you the benefit of Poly..... no way ANY FRP bumper is going to take the kind of abuse my Aerosync has... If I were in the market for a bumper cover I'd only shop poly ones... unless you don't mind the downtime/hassle of replacing FRP's. For me it's Aerosync or MSA ( I think that one is the same construction) only...

I was under the impression gruppe-s is who had these bumpers made in the first place. If they say the manufacturer has a 30 lead time right now I'm sure that is the case. Unless other places have them in stock, and in this type of business isn't that common, I'd say other companies will have the same delay and will just be drop shipping them.

I just recently got one of the previous production run Aerosync's from Gruppe-S. I *believe* they are the premier (if not only) vendor that sells this particular bumper. For what it's worth, they are a stand-up organization who said they were going to ship it out on a certain day and actually shipped it out that day. So if they quoted you a date, it's probably a good date if not conservative.
You should contact your insurance and tell them something vague like this: "The replacement bumper that is required to repair the vehicle has a 30 day lead time. Therefore, I will not be able to get the car to the body shop for repairs for at least 30 days. Please keep this claim open to accommodate this schedule. My body shop will contact you with the job estimate (or invoice) ASAP."
Remember, car insurance is a consumer product like anything else and your claims adjuster is in the customer service industry. It's their job to accommodate you, the Customer. It's ideal for them to be able to close out a claim within a week or two. Nobody likes to have month-old issues laying around. But sometimes it's necessary, and this is one of those times.
