Question Sparco EVO 3 & 350Z Nismo

Anyone running a Sparco EVO 3 bucket seat in a 350Z? If you do please post pics! I am interested to see if the sides will hit the door side panels.

Thanks in advance,

I have a Sparco EVO 3 on the passenger side of the car and there is no way the door would close with a door panel on it. The Sparco EVO2 and the Buddy Club Seats I had in the car just grazed the door panels. ( When it had door panels. )

Thank you!! If you were to save some the sides of the seat, how much do you think you would have to remove?

Thank you for the response! If you were to shave some of the seat's side, how much do you think you would have to remove prior to the door closing? Also, did not door not close at all due to the seat? or did you just have to force it to close with the door panels? Thank you in advance,

FYI, there is an "edit" button so you can change what you post.

You would literally have to cut an inch off the seat or out of the door panel.

Here's a pic of the seat vs the metal door. It's about half an inch away from the metal.

THank you for the PIC!! BTW - Not sure if you have had a need for it, but how confortable are the seats for long trips?

The longest trip I take in these seats is about 20 minute sessions of track time.

I took a 14 + 14 hour trip in my evo L (like evo 2, just older)... and my nismo is quite "stiff"... (Houston to Orlando and back)
they are VERY comfortable while driving, but probably you'll need to put a floor jack under your butt and use a crowbar to get out at the end...
a crane helps too.

Back from the dead...

Matt, was it the evo2 or the evo2 plus seats u had?
Do you remember if there was room to move the seats closer to the tunnel?
Any pics of the evo2 clearance to the door and center winglets?

Cheers,
Michael

I run the EVO 2 in the drivers position and the EVO 3 for the passenger. Shoot me an E-mail at Matt AT ImportIntelligence.com and I'll send you all the pics of the clearances on both. I think there is a little room to move closer to the tunnel but I don't have any carpet in the car.

On a side note, I tried to order another Sparco EVO2 for a customer last week and apperently Sparco is re-vamping the line and won't have any seats avaliable for a little while. ( Pure genious over there to do this at the head of the racing season ) Word is they are modifing the design and changing the material the seats are made of.
