Default Condensation in my brand new headlights

Sup guys, i recently bought a brand new set of oem 06+ headlights from a local member. Im guessing they are new since it was packaged like it was and it looked new. anyway we got some rain these past couple days, nothing major. And today i see a tiny bit of condensation in my driver side headlight. it dried up towards the end of the day but now i have water spots. I would hate having to take these apart....especially since these are supposedly brand new! so what are your thoughts? i was thinking of just heating up the sides to reseal em, but what about the small water spot i got! any advice would be highly appreciated

definitely not new if they're leaking. That is unless they got water in them during shipping or you didn't install/seal them correctly. I'm not sure you'll ever get the water fully out if you don't open them up but I could be wrong.

Doubt if the headlights will ever be 100 percent compensation free. In fact the better you seal them - the more condensation you can expect.

I'm pretty sure they are not 100 percent sealed, they have vents in them I thought to allow some air flow.

They do have vents on the back. Just use a hair dryer and dry them.

just open the tab up like you would when changing a light bulb and let it dry out over night, preferably in a warm place.
if you want to go hardcore put a sack of rice in there (it absorbs all moisture in the air)

might have to do every once in a while because like some of these guys are saying, they come with 2 small openings in the back from the factory and aren't air tight

okay cool. will airing this out get rid of the water marks it left? anyway so would this happen on a new headlight tho? im pissed bcs the reason i bought another set was bcs i didnt want to open up my other set anymore.

Hey you wouldn't by chance be missing or have removed your splash gaurds in the front wheel wells? Justvasking because just before I moved to the east coast I had to do work on the front end of my car and took them off and wasn't home when the moving company came and packed my stuff and packed my inner fender liners also so I had to make the drive without them and with my stock lights I got condensation whenever it rained or even if it was wet or very humid out. Once I put them back in the problem stopped.

haha yea i removed them

however it seems to look pretty good now. i guess the water spots inside went away, its still raining right now but it seems like theres no condensation this time. ill check tomorrow to make sure. if its good ill go ahead and apply another layer of sealant around and then around the back where the bulbs go. ill also throw in one of them water absorbant things that comes with shoes and clothes you buy (forgot what theyre called)

Silica, I doubt they need to be resealed maybe plug the vent tubes and see it that helps?

hmm when my car got hit and my front headlights were damaged the body shop replaced them with pre used one , they looked brand new but they were salvaged as someone would say, up to this date my left headlight always leaks its so annoying.
