TSB for steering column wiring/VDC issue?

Pretty much just that.. i searched "TSB" and "TSB steering" for a thread or a sticky, didnt find anything...
every once and a while at low speed ( on ramps etc) while turning ....my power cuts out momentarily and i get a slip light.. i hear this is a known issue and has to do w grounding issues in the column.... and is very expensive to fix at the dealership.
I know how to wire 12 volt well, and would like to tackle it myself.
Anyone have a thread to reference for this or the TSB # so i can get started?

hmm, been having a hard time getting answers on here lately on anything aside from the flashy trendy stuff. Seems like the " What offset should I run" repeat posts get more attention....

thanks Dave.. i appreciate the response.. I gota go back into one more hour of training, but Ill reply w the tire sizes asap. It only happens when im at a increased steering angle, and i do have a rub noise in my column lately.

Well from my experiance, if there actually is a slip issue being caused but the colum its because the steering angle senser is out of adjustment (screwed mine up while doing headers) either it needs to be reset at the dealer (consult) or the part needs to be replaced $130 and 1 hour of work, very simple. Then the reset at the dealer.

possibly related, my ABS pulses on its own right as i coast to a stop at a light, when most of the braking force is already done, jsut on my final braking before full stop.
Maybe this smacks of a known issue, maybe not.. its a lame gremlin for sure. And also makes driving it a pain instead of a pleasure as intended.

i figured they were close enuff to be good to go.. i actually have diff rear tires going on as soon as my wheels get in... 305 25 20..
i know actual rolling diameteres differ, but the math i used was 255/25.4= 10.03 in wide tire. 10.03 x.35=3.51.
3.51 x2 +20=27.02 rolling for front..
275/25.4=10.82.
10.82x.3= 3.25
3.25x2+20=26.49 rolling for rear.
Will a half inch really cause this VDC issue?
new rears would be 12 in wide and after the math, im realizing are now even shorter.. 26 inches.
damnit. I will need new front tires. Too bad, these ones are sick, nice big fat tire up front. Brand new too.

It's not so much the magnitude of the difference, it's that the front is taller than the rears. The whole braking computer is designed off the assumption that the fronts are shorter than the rears. That allows the computer to observe wheel rotation rates and make assumptions about what is going on. If the fronts are taller, then they rotate slower than the rears. That makes the computer think the rears are slipping. When you turn the car, that exaggerates the rotation mis-match. Having TCS/VDC trigger on an on/off ramp is one of the most commonly reported symptoms of this - wrong tire size - problem.

yikes.. sorry for wasting everyones time w replies.. i actually have 255 30 20 up front, 275 30 20 out back, so the rear is indeed taller.. hmm.
Back to steering angle sensor maybe?
Regardless, i do appreciate the replies thus far. It still helps my process of elimination.
