Wonder how easy it would be to paint the side emblems a blaze color and peel off the inside black part to keep it black.

Easy if you know how to use an X-acto knife

Looks good! I was toying with the idea of going gold on my rims for a while. Not too many silver cars get gold rims but I think it gives it a really unique nice look.

Since the paint on my B13 is a disaster, I ordered a case of plastidip and will be painting the entire car flat black. I am typically against this stuff, but the B13 is my beater and snything will look better than the current paint condition. Will post up pics when Im done.

Cool Do you believe in dipping? (PICS)

PlastiDip. This temporary $15 exterior mod is the best "cheap" mod I've ever come into contact with. Done right, you can completely change the look of your car, and I had no idea of this until my buddy showed me. He has dipped several things over the years, and has passed along some tricks to making plastidip durable, and not look cheap, AT ALL.

Some people here would probably argue that I've disrespected my Z by doing an "88 civic" (cheap/ghetto) mod and that's ok, agree to disagree. But the fact is, a few bucks and 2 or 3 hours of DIY labor, this mod turns heads and looks solid. Just picked up my Z SO I don't have a grand or two laying around to do some legitimate mods. So why not dip until I have some cash free'd up? Who knows, I like it so much that I might even keep it lol. Here's to the folks who are ballin on a budget right now

Up next is a dark tint and then on to my exhaust! (Doing a cat back and high flow cats, I promise I'm not a cheap person. Otherwise you'd see me doing a resonator delete w test pipes, dumped to no muffler or tips

I dipped my rims, chin/grill, door handles, emblems and restored my headlights (with compound and a magic solution my buddy had). COMPLETELY changed the look of my z.

PICS

I don't get all the hate for plastidip…especially the pretensious jerkoffery that is associated with the people who don't care for it, with the thought process of 'its cheap, therefore its crap/rice, how dare you defile such an exclusive auto, as the 350z.'

I mean seriously guys, if people are doing 200K lambos and all other manner of exotics in this stuff, I'm pretty sure its safe to say our 20k Z33s are good enough for the stuff as well.

Try opening your minds a little bit, and understand the fundamentals of modding, and hotrod ding…making your car, yours, to fit an idea you have…trying to project your inner frustrations upon people for doing something different and unique, just makes you look like an *******…'

Also if you can watch this, and still tell me this stuff isn't fantastic, you have no soul.

It is an alternative to vinyl wrapping. It is not aimed at those who are interested in keeping their OEM finish paint. For those who want to wrap their car, plasti dip should be considered as, if applied properly, can have the same appearance and longevity at half to a quarter of the price.

6 coats of plasti dip on a standard audi A4 weighs 1.5 pounds...

And if you do it properly with a proper gun, it can have perfect coverage. I'll just leave these two threads here to see some pictures:

Looks just as good as vinyl at much less than the price.

do you actually have any personal history or facts to back up your claims, or are you in fact just speaking out of your *** with no actual experience at all?

It's just opinions. I understand that it is not popular, I was replying to your statement about not being able to get proper coverage or having it look bad. I personally will not dip my car, but then again, I would not wrap it either. I like the color of my car, that's why I bought it. Just a little conversation is all

i hear ya... but most people are not going to do it right. i did my emblems just because i hated the silver, and i am not that found of it on there. i did my interior door handles until i got new ones so i wouldnt stare at the scratches. for me it was a temp cosmetic fix.
