Whats this box in my trunk?
The box that I am referring to is the entire raised assembly. In the trunk this is a plastic piece on the left side of the trunk.

Its definitely not foam. The entire structure is hard plastic. And I can feel something underneath. Just not sure what it is or how to remove it to find out what is down there.. Do I need to remove the side panels first?
I think that I found the answer. The plastic riser covers the Bose OEM 4ch amp. Now I just need to figure out how to remove the plastic riser.

I just wanted to point out that there are 2 bose amps, one for speakers, one for sub.
For the roadster-
The one for the speakers is in the trunk on the drivers side in the corner. You have to remove the trunk mat and the plastic/foam to get to it. It is mounted to the floor inside a cage. You have to remove 3-4 bolts to remove the cage, then you can remove the amp from the cage itself.
The one for the sub is in the opening behind the bose sub. There is a metal plate that the sub is mounted to. You will see two bolt heads to the left of the speaker when you pop the cover off, the sub amp is in a small plastic cage on the back side of the plate and these two bolts hold it to the plate. You will need to remove the speaker, then remove the two bolts. Then you can take the cage out through the hole where the speaker was.
