ok so i got a guy with 06 headlights, he wants my 04 hid, will the 04 hid work in his 06 since his are bi xenon, im thinking bout buying chinese ebay crap lights and trading him but ebay lists them as fitting 03 - 06 which i think is a typo. ive got 06 tails and i just dont plug in one delphi, is this same situation for headlights, any input would be great thanks.

Hopefully you don't mean that you would be intentionally misleading him and giving him ebay lights instead of the OEM hid lights that he is expecting?

 

yeah since you have stock hid's on your car 06-08 headlights will plug and play. All the 03-05 base model z's wont work bc they have different harnesses

i had to poach ebay for over a year to get good deals on my 06 updated headlights.. AND i sold my old 05 hids to a member for just 100 bucks. ha.

hows that? hes trading his car in that he doesnt care about..knows i want those lights, and is hooking it up.. for free trade as long as he has lights on his car.

 

You didn't say that he was trading in the car, just that you were trading him hdi for hdi, then you mentioned maybe buying some ebay ones. It sounded really shady. That's why I asked about it further up in the thread.

Good to know that you're not giving him the shaft. The stealership can deal with it.

Oh, and yes, you can swap your HIDs for his - no problem.
