Default How to convert older head/tail lamp assm. to newer?

What would need to done in converting an older halogen style (03 350z) head and tail lamp assembly to the newer (06 and up 350z) LED style lamps? Thank you all who endeavor to help.

The tailights are plug and play. As for the headlights, if your previous ones are HID it is also plug and play, if not it will require some wiring modifications.. you can search up on this and find a lot more info.. good luck

Yes I have a aftermarket 55w HID set up.

No my car is an Enthusiast model and it came with the halogen blub headlights.

enthusiast models had the HID headlights stock. at least my 2004 did. only the base model had halogen.

Well in my case it was not so. I can imagine that the HID was an extra or add on.

then you did not purchase an enthusiast because they came with HID from the factory for that trim level. here is another way to check. look on your steering wheel. no cruise control= base model.

What are you trying to upgrade on the headlamps? These are 03-05 halogen headlamps with aftermarket HID right? Are you trying to update the parking lamps to LEDs or do you want to upgrade the HID projector system?

Well if your pretty handy with taking things apart and modifying them, then you could replace your 03-05 reflector/projector hybrid with some true "bixenon" HID projectors. It is a lot of work though... I did it on mine, but it was a cheap way of getting near 06+ headlamp looks and light output for $150. Here's a link to my mod.

As for replacing the parking lights with LED's... I dunno, i'm sure that would be easy and if you search around someone may have already done it.
