I came across this set up. They even have CCFL in them.

Ive always wanted a quad setup, separate low beams and high beams. The small round LEDs ontop fcked it up.

Ill stick with the +06 Headlights

Looks like a custom retrofit no?

I like the ones with the single CCFL white halo. The other one would look alright with eyelids, i also found them in chrome. It would cover a few led lights but whatever. It's great to see people thinking about new designs for headlights but none beats the 06 + OEM ones. The retail price on the 06+ is horrible though.

It is ugly... but if its going to be ugly it should at least be useful. Having two HID projectors in each headlamp would be good, doubling your light output. Hell the 350Z headlamp housing is big enough you might be able to fit 3 projector units in it.

The second one posted looks decent... i'm curious what projector unit it is using, appears to be a halogen bulb plugged in, H7? It might do ok for a aftermarket HID kit. But it does appear they are halogen (it doesn't specify) so they are NOT direct replacement for 06 and up, and only direct replacement for 03-05 base models.

The second one doesn't look bad, but between paying $850 for an aftermarket headlight or $1100 for OEM ones, I would rather wait and save the extra $250 and spend money on the real deal.

If the second ones would cost half the price (say $450) then I would consider them trying it out.

The CCFL headlights are definitely retrofitted because the projector took over the high beam. Even thought the projector seems bigger than the normal 03-05, they didn't say much about the brightness output.

I would rather do the BMW projector mod for these 03-05 headlights than buying that. There is a member who wrote up a DIY here.

God damnit why cant they do something good looking....killin me man and i refuse to pay for 06+.

The chrome versions look better than the black (1st a/m set) possibly be decent if you just didnt hook up that hideous blue LED train....

Yeah, I did... not really a DIY just pictures of the process and result. I went off of 350z4realz who did the same thing.
