Looks like it is time for some new tail lights. How did those get so scratched?

looks like condesation, or water getting trapped in the lights after a car wash?

I would remove the light, take it apart carefully, clean off the old adhesive, wash it with mild soap, reglue using a good sealant/glue, reassemble, let it dry and then put them back on teh car.

As for the scratches, im pretty sure a headlight restoration might remove most of the scratches

And I thought E46fanatics was rough

If I take this light apart and re-glue do I risk it leaking again since the seal has been compromised?
Has anyone did this with any success?

My old 96 galant kept getting condesation, i took my headlights apart and I reglued them. One did continue to get drops of water, I then took a drill bit and made lil holes at the bottom. Problem solved.
