is this too good to be true?
I have a friend that recently picked up a pair of bride seats. He ended up getting them from some people that had no idea what they where worth and he didnt realize what they were worth. Well after i told him how much they cost if they are authentic he said that he would sell me the pair for 600! so i looked at them and they do seem to be authentic. They only way i know to tell is on the little bride tag on the side says made in japan and the side of the seat has a little silver sticker that has japanese writing on it. Is there any other way to tell? do these seem authentic? is this too good to be true? they are an all black full bucket seat (non reclinable) that say bride low max on the top and back. the vios maybe?

Even if they aren't, $600 is worth it for a pair of good buckets IMO. I'd take the chance that they are.
I got a pair of Sparco Torino's back in the day for around $150+stock Prelude seats because the guy that bought them didn't fit in them and he just wanted to get rid of them. Good deals do happen, you may have caught this one.

taiwan made Brides are nearly indistinguishable from the real seats, the screws grommets, the box, the fabric etc.. Bride lost their trademark a few years ago.. so the end result is if its exactly the same, then its the same.. authentic or not.
No one will be able to tell.

I would suggest you get authentic Bride rails, sliders, and brackets. You may be able to get the necessary hardware from somewhere like Wedge Engineering (I think thats the name), but I can't commend on quality. I had a hard enough time getting my authentic Sparco brackets to line up properly in the Z.

buy. buy. buy.
real or not, that's an amazing price for a nice set of bucket seats
safety really isn't the issue, i'm sure you would be able to tell if the quality was so bad that the chair would fly out
the only issue, as said above, is the fitment and if you can install it easily if non-authentic...but there are always ways around this

Genuine Bride buckets will always have a FIA cert sticker as well. Knock-offs should not ever have the FIA cert sticker.
edit: apparently the vios isn't fia certified so it won't have that sticker anyways. Zeta III should though
