Default Carbon Fabric Wrapping??

I found a few threads on this topic that are a few years old. I was hoping to find out how the Carbon Fabric material held up in the last few years? Also any idea on the how the heck you wrap the door switch panel with this stuff for the windows on an 03??

Pics would be a grear help.

Which brand are you talking about? There are quite a few brands of carbon fiber vinyl out there. Some are better than others.

The stuff was a fabric that some people on this forum were using with 3m 77 spray glue to put on. Not sure about it really it was not an adhesive backed vinyl though.

Neffy wrap

I'd say screw that and get 3M Dinoc.

You talking actual carbon fiber or that Neffy crap? The door switch panel needs to be removed. If its real cf it'll require a lot more time to get it looking good. Di-noc is your best bet. Just make sure to get 3m primer 94 or the stuff will lift/bubble/shrink on you in high heat

Never understood the point of CF wrap, why have a lightweight look that makes it heavier?

To permanently fix the horrible scratches that occur over and over?

Are you talking about the entire panel(door)around the switches?
Personally, vinyl wrapping is just like fake wood grain. Its a picture
of the wood...and know, carbon fiber.I've done my entire interior in
CF veneer(real CF).You can order pieces just for the door trim.
Or,you can order a kit for the whole interior.Mine has been in my car for 3 yrs
looks brand new.Explain if this is what you are talking about.I'd be glad to send you pics...PM me.

Yes the Neffy wrap stuff. It appears to have an OEM look to it. But I would like an solution to the wear the switch area on the door panel is receiving and hopefully freshening up the whole interior. I would like to see some of the solutions other members have done. Wrap or vinyl. I was thinking the fabric may be a higher solution. But honestly I have not seen much of it in the real world. Any shots of the interior with this stuff and how it held up would be appreciated.

Thanx
