Default 06+ headlight repair

I was involved in a hit and run last week and this is what happened to my headlights

I've searched and found some thread where people say you can buy just the housing but havn't actually found someone who had bought it
My question..can this problem be fixed without buying new headlights??
Is there a place where I can buy OEM housing (all lights work fine just cracked housing)
Thanks for any help

UPDATE:
Lights are done and on the car...came out great and turns heads everywhere. Every time I pull into a parking lot I turn my long lights off leaving the ccfl, corner, and led lights on and people just stop and stare (GREAT FEELING).
Heres a quick pic I shot. I'll throw a vid up soon.

Special thanks to flipper z for making them

Insurance isn't covering that? Would suck to pay 600 bucks for one '06 headlight.

What's your deductible?

Looks like prices came down. Says its 06-09 but doesn't say exactly if its bi xenon.

sucks to hear op. a friend of mine was involved in a far worse hit and run last week as well.

it's hard to assess the amount of damage from your pic. its also a tricky and delicate process to separate the cover from the rest of the housing if you were to repair yourself. i would just search for and buy a replacement.

Are those cracks or is the plastic just "smudged"? I can't really tell. If they aren't cracked, a heavy sanding job may pull the damage out of the plastic.

Definitely a giant crack right up the center. Sandjob will be a no-go.

Yes, an Ebay headlight will work. When my 06-08 lights were being customized the inside of one of the lenses was wiped due to some residue and it screwed up the internal coating.

An ebay headlight purchase fixed the issue and it was the 03-05 lights too. Just take off the lens cover (see the customizing headlights DIY) and put the new one on from the Ebay light. Works perfect and shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks compared to the cost of a new 06 light. Keep the second one as an extra in case you need to do the same for the other side. Done and done.

The front cover from an 03 headlights will fit on the newer style light yes, but the back part (the piece the projector is mounted to) won't work. Since both mine were cracked I bought the eBay housing for $300 and yes it looks identical

I want to see these in person sometime. You go out to any of the meets or events around Chicago?

I recently swaped lenses on my 06 headlights due to stress cracks and condensation. Bought a set of ebay light housing (03-05) for $185, Oxy Butyl for $25 and successfuly finished the job.
