opinions of the new paint...please
what do you guys think of the new paint on the wheels, handles, and emblems? the wheels, handles, and 350z emblem is a cyber gray metallic and the front and rear emblems are black.
and the side emblems are painted as well, the z and the outter ring are cyber gray metallic and the whole emblem is glossed to give it shine.

The job itself is well done no doubt about that. Although, the cyber gray seems to clash with the magnetic black(car color), over powers the grey. If you painted all the emblems and handles grey as well, it will stand out too much and seem tacky. Just my two cents, black is a difficult color to work with whem planning paint schemes.
Edit: I now took a closer look and the emblems fade into the black very well, the handles and wells; not so much.

You need lighter accents to bring out the gray (silver handles, emblems, etc.) otherwise it looks like you just have a black car. I'm sure it looks different in person. As long as you like it
well one wheel has some paint missing already due to the fact i couldnt avoid a tire that a truck kicked up from in front of me today on the way home from work. and the front two have very small nicks in them from the tire company that put on my front tires so im thinking im either gonna upgrade rims to 19's or 20's or get the wheels powder coated black and throw some good rubber on them. i was very happy with the look until i realized that paint doesnt stay attached to the wheels very well. any opinions on doing the wheels black?

The Z needs some love. Rather than painting parts of the car, i would suggest spending some time polishing everything. Your headlights are really dull and need a lot of work. Your 350Z emblem needs some work to get either the wax off or the tape residue. Details make the car look beautiful. Painting parts doesn't necessarily help unless you get top notch job. I suspect you are going to experience a lot of peeling on the parts you painted because it doesn't look like you spent much time preparing the surface.
Personally not that into the whole "blacking out" deal. I think what you need is bigger wheels powder-coated black with a chrome lip. And in the mean time, get some spacers ;o They make the car look much more flush in terms of wheels - fenders. Right now your wheels are hiding inside the wheel well.
PS: I recommend 20mm Front and 25-30mm Rear if you are sticking with the stock wheels.

I kinda like it.Its hard to get all the detail from your photos.I can't really tell how dark
your wheels really are...very trendy/GTRish and the new 370GT.If it were me,I'd add some carbon fiber accents:mirror/pilar covers, maybe a subtle front lip(Mine's style).
Also,I'd put a smoke overlay on your front side markers, rear back up lights. Also, consider some carbon fiber eyelids(thin ones).
Your tires look...cheap(photo).Need more rubber or,spacers?
Good lookin Z!

i bought the car with those tires so i havent upgraded just yet. lol. i had to get my front bumper replaced cuz i cracked it on the highway by hitting part of an 18 wheeler tire so i took it to a long time friend of mine that owns a body shop in irving tx and he did the bumper, skidplate, inner fender and all the painting and color sanding for the deductible i paid. but now im regretting all of the add-ons cuz of how easy the paints chips off. so after hearing opinions, ill probably get the wheels powder coated black, throw some new rubber on them with some spacers until i graduate from college in like a year or so then i can put some wheels on it and then start upgrading the performance side of the car more.
i just got some nitto nt555's put on yesterday so im probably gonna get the wheels powder coated soon. probably gloss black just to keep it simple. i really want some 18x10's in the back and 18x8.5 or 18x9's in the front when i wear out these tires. would 18's look ok if i lowered the car on sportlines?
